皆さん こんにちは。 高山 和子です。 私は 津山市で生まれ育ちました。 12才で英語の勉強を始めて以来、英語は 私に違った世界を紹介し、常に 視野を広めるのに助けとなるものでした。 私は 生徒さんに 英語を駆使する喜びを分かち合い、英語が皆さんにもたらしてくれるであろう可能性を発見して頂きたいと願っています。
私は 京都の大学で学士課程を修了し、奨学金で アメリカ合衆国、アイオワ州にあるドレーク大学の修士課程へと進みました。 そこでは 英米文学を専攻し、準専攻科目として言語学を学びました。 修士課程終了後、津山に帰り 1986年より英語を教え始めました。 英語を教えることへの情熱は、ライト外語スクールという自分の学校を１９９０年に開校することに導いてくれました。 これまでの英語指導との関わりの中で、生徒さんが英語の学習を通じて実力を伸ばすだけでなく、自信もつけていかれるのを目の当たりにすることに、大変 喜びを感じています。
個人的には、現在 パブリック・スピーキングを通じてコミュニケーションとリーダーシップ能力を培うことを目的とした、非営利の世界的な団体である、インターナショナル・トーストマス ターズ・クラブの岡山クラブと鳥取クラブの会員です。 これまで、このクラブは、向上心に満ちた多くの会員と接することを通じて、コミュニケーション能力ばかりでなく 自信をつけるのにも大変役に立っています。
暇なときは、ワールドニュースを聴いたり、新聞、タイム誌、英語と日本語の書籍を読んだり、映画や海外のドラマを観たり、愛犬である、トイプードルのマックスと遊ぶのを楽しんでいます。
人生は多くの貴重な学びとなる経験に満ちてると思っています。 そして、その人生が与えてくれるあらゆることから、何でも学び取ろうという姿勢でいます。

Hello, everyone. My name is Kazuko Takayama. I was born and brought up in Tsuyama City. Since I started studying English at the age of 12, English has constantly helped broaden my horizons by introducing me to different worlds. I would like my students to share my joy of using English and discover the potential English may open up to them.
I finished my undergraduate work in Kyoto and continued on to my graduate work on a scholarship at Drake University in Iowa, USA, where I majored in English literature with a minor in linguistics. After completing my master’s course, I came back to Tsuyama, and started teaching English at a local school in 1986. My passion for teaching English led me to establish my own school, the Wright Language School in 1990 here in Tsuyama. Over the years teaching English, I have found it very fulfilling to witness my students develop their language skills as well as confidence through their experiences with English.
In my personal life, I belong to Okayama Toastmasters Club and Tottori Toastmasters Club, which are both subsidiary to a nonprofit international organization called the Toastmasters International whose aim is to help people develop communication and leadership skills through public speaking. Over the years, this club has helped me a great deal to develop my confidence as well as my communication skills by interacting with many self-motivated members. In my spare time, I enjoy listening to world news, reading newspapers, TIME magazines, Japanese and English books, watching movies and foreign dramas, and playing with my adorable toy poodle, Max. I believe life is filled with many precious learning experiences and I am eager to learn everything and anything life has to offer.

皆さん こんにちは。 僕のことはニックと呼んでください。 西オーストラリア州のパース市の出身です。 日本で、1987年から英語指導に当たっています。 東京で英語を指導することで、楽しくて充実した3年間を過ごし、こちら津山には1994年以来 住んでいます。
この町で働くのが好きで、生徒さんの英語学習に注ぐ努力と、進歩の過程に、常に元気づけられています。すべての年齢とレベルの生徒さんの指導に当たっていますが、一番の喜びは、生徒さんの成功を共に分かち合い、生徒さんに英語力を伸ばす努力を続けていただくよう、レッスンを計画して指導に当たるということです。 僕は 生徒さんは、異なる文化からの人々の間に平和と理解を築くのに役立つ技術を習得している国際人であると考えています。
私生活では インターネットで情報の世界を楽しんだり、良い映画を観てリラックスしたり、友人と話したりと、静かな生活を送っています。 僕は読書、オーディオブック、ポッドキャストが大好きです。 通常 授業の合間や、街で 僕を見かけたら、イヤフォンをつけて、小説、コメディー、科学や懐疑主義的なポッドキャストに聞きいっているでしょう。 もし 僕のプレイリストにどんなものがあるか知りたい方は、連絡下さい。今のお気に入りは何かお教えしますよ。
また、時間が取れる時は、カメラを手に外に出て、心を動かされるものは何でも写真を撮るのも好きです。 撮った写真を誇らしげに壁に掛けたり、家族や友人と一緒に楽しめるような作品にするために、どうやってうまくコンピューターとプリンターを利用するか学んでいます。 このウェブサイトにある写真の大半も僕が撮ったもので、スクールのちょっとした写真家というとこです。

Hi there. How are things? Please call me Nick. I come from Perth in Western Australia and I’ve been teaching English both there and here in Japan since 1987. Tsuyama has been my home since 1994 after teaching in Tokyo for a rewarding and exciting three years before moving here.
I love my work in this town and I am constantly inspired by the efforts my students put into their studies and the progress they make. I teach students of all ages and abilities and the greatest pleasure I get is sharing in my students’ successes and welcome the challenge of developing and delivering lessons to continue their improvement. I see all of my students as global citizens mastering skills that contribute to peace and understanding between people of all backgrounds.
I’m pretty low key in my private life, enjoying the world of information on the Internet, relaxing with a good movie and catching-up with friends. I’m a great fan of books, audio literature and podcasts. I can usually be seen between classes and around town with earphones firmly plugged in my ears, taking in fiction and loads of comedy, science and skeptic oriented podcasts. If you’re interested in what’s on my playlist, drop me a line and I can let you know what’s my current favorite.
When I can make time, I enjoy getting out with my camera and taking shots of whatever moves me. I’m impatiently learning how to use my computer and printer to turn the shots into something I’m proud to hang on the wall or share with family and friends. I’m the unofficial school photographer, taking most of the photos for this website.

こんにちは、皆さん！私の名前はロスマリー・エスティオラです。フィリピンの美しい都市、セブから来ました。セブは「南の女王」とも呼ばれています。私は南フィリピン大学で初等教育の学士号を取得し、英語を専攻しました。フィリピンでは教員免許を持っており、TESOL証明書も取得しています。
過去4年間、私は日本のプロフェッショナルの方々がIELTSやTOEFL試験の準備をお手伝いしてきました。また、様々な学校で幅広い年齢層や背景を持つ生徒さん達を教えてきました。生徒さん各人のニーズや目標を理解することで、多様な教え方を学ぶことができました。
生徒さんが英語のスキルを向上させるのを見ることは非常にやりがいがあります。彼らが高いスコアを達成したり、英語を話すことに自信を持つ姿を見ることは本当に嬉しいです。私の目標は、サポートと楽しさに満ちた学習環境を作り出し、全ての生徒さんが最善を尽くすように励ますことです。私は、生徒さんが英語学習を通じて成功し、夢を達成するのを手助けすることに全力を尽くします。
私は、旅行が大好きで、フィリピンの多くの美しい場所を探検してきました。特に好きな活動の一つはフリーダイビングで、国内の多くの有名なスポットでダイビングを楽しんできました。教師として、旅行者として、そしてフリーダイバーとしての経験を共有することに情熱を持っています。日本に住んでその文化を体験したいという私の願望が、ここでの教える情熱を駆り立てています。オンラインで日本の生徒さんを教えるという経験を通じて、日本の文化を実際に体験したいという気持ちがつよくなりました。

Hello, everyone! My name is Rosemarie Estiola, and I’m from the beautiful city of Cebu, often called the Queen City of the South, in the Philippines. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a major in English from the University of Southern Philippines Foundation. I’m a licensed teacher in the Philippines and also have a TESOL certificate.
For the past four years, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching and helping Japanese professionals prepare for their IELTS and TOEFL exams. I’ve also taught students of all ages and backgrounds at various schools. Each student is unique, and understanding their different needs and goals has helped me learn how to teach in many different ways.
I find it incredibly rewarding to see my students improve their English skills. Watching them achieve higher scores or become more confident in speaking English is truly fulfilling. My goal is to create a supportive and fun learning environment where every student feels encouraged to do their best. I’m dedicated to helping my students succeed and reach their dreams through learning English.
I love to travel and have explored many beautiful places in the Philippines. One of my favorite activities is freediving, and I’ve enjoyed diving in many famous spots across the country. I’m passionate about sharing my experiences as a teacher, traveler, and freediver. My desire to live in Japan and experience its culture drives my passion for teaching here. Teaching Japanese students online has made me eager to experience the culture firsthand.
I’m excited to bring my unique perspective and enthusiasm to help my students.
