At Death’s Door

Andrew "Nick" Nichols

Nick:
What’s up with you? You look like you’re at death’s door.
Kaz:
I think I’m coming down with a cold again.
Nick:
What do you mean ‘again’. You haven’t shaken that cough for months!
Kaz:
Well, whatever it is, it’s really bowling me over. Now I’ve got a runny nose, a pounding headache, throbbing joints and I’m getting hoarse.
Nick:
That dose of medicine from that quack didn’t do you much good. If you had any sense you’d see a different doc and get a second opinion. It can’t hurt.
Kaz:
I’ll take that on board, but for now, all I want to do is curl into a ball and sleep for a few days.
Nick:
Now you’re talking. Take a load off and see if that helps.
